Adhesive Design Stencils are our newest addition to the studio! We pre-make and cut them out of vinyl sticker film. They work just like masking tape on a dry pottery surface to reveal or protect certain areas of your piece to be painted (or left blank as negative space). When you have filled your cart with glazes and other painting materials, go to STEP 3. You are ready to select your firing fees and enter delivery instructions or curbside pick up.

At the moment, we have a limited supply of styles for our Adhesive Design Stencils, however, over the next few months we plan on increasing the variety that we offer. Our pre-made stencils available in-studio and online are fixed in size and the size of the design is noted in the listings. Please note that these design stencils are ONE-TIME-USE-ONLY and cannot be reused because the thin and sticky vinyl material will stretch and rip when you go to remove it from your pottery piece. Every design stencil you order comes pre-weeded meaning we did the hard work for you of separating the negative for easy application and sticking all 3 application sheets together (the blue colored vinyl sticker, the white wax coated backing and the clear transfer film) to get it off and onto your pottery. We also include a complimentary pin and sponge bit for easy application and removal from your pottery shape. If you don’t see a design you like, please reach out to us.

Don’t see what you are looking for? Custom designs are welcome and we would be happy to print you a custom adhesive design stencil and in the size of your choosing with a minimum order of 5 or more of the same design & size. If there are less than a quantity of 5, we charge a $10-20 design fee (based on size and complexity) to create and manipulate your custom design in our printer program as it takes time to print and get the size and cut right. Lead time is a few days to a week for all custom stencil requests. Please contact Sarah for a personalized quote. After purchasing the Custom Design Product Item, you may then submit your custom files in black and white .jpg, .png or preferably SVG formats. They must be copyright free of course unless you own the copyright or purchased them for personal use.
