Paint Your Own Hoot Planter

Paint Your Own Hoot Planter
Size: 5" Dia x 5" H
The Hoot Planter is a playful bisque project that is perfect for young children or those adults that consider themselves artistically challenged! This planter pot has a clean and easy to decorate design with a cylindrical shape, rounded feet acting as the base, two cartoony oval eyes, a tiny circle for a beak, and two flat tufts rising above the rim! This fun Hoot Planter would be a great first project!
The beauty of the small hand-painted Hoot Planter is that it’s a lovely decoration on its own, and it can fit gorgeous and functional plants for most any space! Maybe you’d like to start an herb garden! Plant some Italian basil, cilantro, or chives into the Hoot Planter! An aloe vera plant would thrive in a pot this size, and a Chinese money plant would look fantastic in any apartment or home!
Price shown above includes all applicable sales tax. It does not include paints or materials. You must purchase the paints and materials you need from us to finish your piece separately.
All our Paint at Home Pottery is of the highest quality white, unglazed cone 04 bisque. It has been cleaned and fired once and is ready for you to paint with our high quality ceramic glazes. Do not use any other paints, pens, pencils, markers or other materials other than what you have purchased through us to decorate your pottery. Other paint and decorating products are not compatible with our high quality ceramic glazes we provide for your painting enjoyment.
NEVER COMBINE ACRYLIC PAINTS, OTHER PAINTS, SHARPIES, GLUES, OR OTHER MATERIALS WITH FIRED CERAMIC GLAZES. YOU WILL PERMANENTLY DAMAGE YOUR POTTERY IF YOU DO AND WE WILL MOST LIKELY HAVE TO REFUSE TO FIRE IT FOR SAFETY REASONS. ONLY CERAMIC GLAZES ARE MEANT TO BE FIRED IN A KILN. ART IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT, WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MISUSE OF OUR PRODUCTS.
If you have a question about if something is compatible with our ceramic firing practices, please call us during regular business hours at 860-517-8553 and we would be more than happy to assist.
We suggest pre-purchasing a firing fee for each pottery product you are buying so that you may easily drop off your ready to glaze and fire pottery at our studio without having to pay for firing at the time of drop off. If it’s all on the same order receipt, it makes it super easy! Pottery is then glazed, fired and generally ready in 7 days for you to pick up.
**Pottery products sold as a single set (such as salt and pepper shakers for example) only require the purchase of ONE $3 firing fee (not two), to have them glazed and fired.
Please see our Studio Policies and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for additional information.
Please note: Any pictures showing finished painted samples are for inspiration only. Your pottery will arrive as white unglazed bisque for you to paint and will need to be returned to the studio to have it fired so that it is food safe and can be used. Unfired ceramic glazes are not permanent or food safe without firing in a kiln.
